Rover V8 engine & 14CUX Ecu

The rover V8 engine has been used in many vehicles over the years, including (but not limited to) Morgan +8, TVR, Triumph TR8, Land Rover, Range Rover, MGB V8 and Marcos to name a few.

While the original cars were fitted with carburetors, later vehicles used fuel injection systems and ECU's from the likes of Bosch L-Jetronic and Lucas 14CUX and then GEMS and Bosch Motronic. The variation in management systems pales into insignificance when you compare it with the number of variations in engine sizes, from the original 3.5 to 4.6 Litre and even larger at times.

We have been working on these engines for many years and are one of the few companies to have genuine diagnostics tools for even the earliest versions starting with the 14CUX.

We also have the ever useful Mac tool which is basically the Omitec (OEM) tool from the period.

We regularly see these engines for all manner of problems, often after their owners have spent a fortune elsewhere without finding the cause of the symptoms. With our unique combination of Experience, Diagnostic tools, Rolling Road Dynamometer and Exhaust Gas Analysers we are able to determine the cause of all problems with these engines and fix them too!

14CUX Tuning specialists

We have many years experience of tuning the very capable 14CUX ECU, we can update the software to later versions, and Remap or tune the software on all versions of these ECU's. We can tune to increase performance or ecconamy or a balance of the two, we can also accomodate modifications such as engine capacity increases and fast-rod or even Race camshafts, whatever the modification we can help by tuning on our Rolling Road.
